Comment: seriously, none of the smell comes out of the diaper pail. I know some think this is an unecessary expense but it really does keep the smell in the pail. my baby is breastfed so far and the poop doesn't really smell horrific. I change the bag every 3-4 days when it's full and the smell does not seep thru. Would recommend to everyone.

Comment: I got this item on the "subscribe and save" It's much cheaper and convenient than running out and buying it whenever we're low. And I didn't realize just how often you need to empty the diaper pail.
Is it silly to use a product that needs it's own refill? That is a matter of opinion, but so far, I really like this product, it does keep the stinky diaper smell in. Once your Baby starts eating solids, you'll need to empty it out more often on a regular basis. It's not magical (despite having the word "genie" in it's title), but it does keep the smell at bay.

Comment: I got the diaper genie II as a baby gift and boy has it worked wonders! the smell is trapped in this little white container which has a foot pedal for easy opening! these refills are so easy to use and this is the best price i can find!!!

Comment: These work great, i am totally happy with them. They end up being the same price as buying them in the store, so it is a good deal if you get free super saver shipping. If you have to pay shipping, they will be cheaper at a retail store, which is why i only gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
