Customer Rating: Summary: What about the first and second generations? Comment: While I think it is great that Seventh Generation says "we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations". Great advice, but only if you make things work for the generations actually using them, namely me, my wife, and our baby.
These diapers leak. Badly. Almost every time. I don't care how carefully you wrap him up, they leak. I can't wait to be finished with this package. Perhaps we will try again when he gets older and the fit changes, but for now, for newborns, I must give them one star. From what I can tell, the problems are 1) absorbent material not very absorbent; 2) cut too 'straight', does not fit properly; 3) the edge bungies are not tight or conforming enough so he can easily pee along the edges of the diaper and out. We tried some Pampers and haven't had a single leak yet.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great diapers! Comment: We've used these diapers (as well as cloth diapers) since day one with our daughter (who is now 16 months old) and they've been great! They aren't bulky, they're very soft (almost a cloth-like feel,) and they're better for the environment and for babies than most other disposibles.
Customer Rating: Summary: great diapers Comment: These diapers did not leak any more than Huggies or Pampers. My daughter gets diaper rash very easily and I like that with these diapers there is no bleach or dioxins on her raw skin.
Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointed in diapers - donate remainder of diapers left in your credit!! Comment: I agree with the prior reviewers that these diapers are not good, not well shaped and don't fit babies well. The newborn size is too small for my 8 1/2 pound newborn and we have to wrap the diaper up so tight in order to prevent leaks that it leaves lines and marks on our little guy's bottome. Looks pretty painful.
We've had some minor leaks, nothing major, but its only been 2 days and we definitely are going back to the pampers. The free diapers are not worth the bad fit and potential bad leaking.
I am going to order the remainder of my free credit from spending on my Amazon.com baby registry and then donate all the diapers to the local shelters and rescue missions. There are plenty of families who could use any diapers they can get. This way the credit doesn't go to waste even though we won't be using Seventh Generation diapers in the future.
Customer Rating: Summary: Leaky, leaky, leaky Comment: I got these diapers as part of the free deal from my baby registry. I did want to like them. However they leak. I mostly have had problems with urine, rarely stool, but one day I had to change my baby's outfit about 6 times because of leaks. That also meant that I had to change the receiving blankets and a few times the sheet protectors. The only way to minimize leaks was to put the diaper on really tight which didn't seem right. I've also used Huggies and Pampers without leaks. I have the next stage up diapers. They leak less, but compared to the other diapers, they still leak. It was great to get the diapers for free, but even at that price I'm not sure they were worth it.
