The unique AIR-TITE system of the Diaper Genie II Advanced Disposal System has a seven-layer barrier film that has been proven best in odor control. Plus the Diaper Genie II system is incredibly easy to use with its one-hand operation; and since the diaper never touches the pail, there's one less thing to clean. Comment: If baby poo did not smell like baby poo there would be no need for this product. But, since the poo smells like the poo, thank God there is this product.

Summary: Top 5 Reasons why you should buy a different pail...
Comment: #1. I found it quite disturbing that I had to push a dirty diaper with my hand through into the pail. Try doing this while your other hand is on your baby who is squirming. If it is a runny poo-poo diaper you will get it on your hand as you try to squeeze it into the pail. All I have to say is ...yucko!
#2. You have to buy special bags. I recommend buying one where you can just use plain kitchen trash bags. Save your money!
#3. Odor control...I think not. You have bend down over the pail while you are pushing a yucko diaper in with your hand, so you get a whiff of brewing diapers every time. On a positive note it did seem to be ok smelling while it was just sitting there. But this may be because I changed it often and diapers weren't really sitting around in it for longer than a day.
#4. I knocked the thing over more than not when trying to put in a diaper. It is not very sturdy because the base is quite skinny. Especially if you have it sitting on carpet and it is empty. I found putting a diaper in this thing was really a two handed job. Not exactly easy to do when your baby is laying up on a table and is feeling squirmy.
#5. Doesn't hold a lot of diapers. I found myself emptying it quite often. This waists bags because each time you empty it, you have to pull the bag down a bit to cut it off. Then tie a knot in to make the bottom of the next bag.
I'm currently using the hands free diaper pail by graco which, although has some issues of it's own, is actually a much nicer pail.

Summary: No stink pail!
Comment: I am very happy with this pail. It does not let the smell out as long as the clamp is closed. I can sit right next to a full pail and not know it. Very good purchase! It does hold enough when the size of the diapers is smaller. If you need this for a 2 year olds it will fillup fast. The case is smaller, but then again, you wouldn't want to let it sit for very long anyway. I am very pleased!

Summary: Great until it broke
Comment: I praised this diaper pail until it broke. My son is only 6 months old and the pail already needs to be replaced. It actually started breaking when he was about four months but we've manage to make it work until today. The mechanism that opens the two inside flaps broke off on one side and today the other side broke as well. Now there is no way to get the diapers into the pail. I'm not sure where to go from here. I wouldn't mind buying another one, but they are not exactly cheap and I don't want to have to replace it again. I would still recommend this item to others but with caution.

Summary: Not bad, Keeps oders away most the time
Comment: This is alright, it keeps most oders away and easy to put the dirty diapers somewhere. The only thing is when the bags run out, they can get pricey when you have to keep buying them. overall though i give it a 4 out of 5.
