Comment: Have been using it for the 6 months and have no complaints so far;Way better than the other brands as you can use any trash bag and don't have to purchase specific refills for trash bags.Imagine the cost of refills if you have to keep on buying em!!!!Best value for your money with no recurring costs.

Summary: Very good for the price
Comment: I am using this pail about 2 months now and as I said "Very good for the price". No need to buy those expensive refills. This Diaper pail takes regular 13 gallon trash bags. Easy to use. But the down side is that there is a slight odour when opening and closing the pail with the use of the handle. I would recommend this product.

Summary: Not so "deluxe"
Comment: I had the original diaper champ with my first child, and boy do I wish I could find one of those! In my opinon, this is one of those instances where the original is FAR superior to the 'new and improved' version.
Pros - it's still nice to be able to use a regular trash bag instead of having to buy a specialized bag.
Cons - Whew! It's no longer odor-free! Yes, having the diapers go through the channel with the lid on top helps, but when they created the new design they lost that 'lock' the old version had that prevented odors from coming back up through the channel. This one also does not hold as many diapers as the old version did. This one is supposed to hold up to 30 diapers, and 30 is a stretch. Although with the odor issue, it's best to change out the bags 2-3 times a week, so the limit on diapers isn't such a bad thing.
Bottom line - if you can find an original version, GET IT!! It worked flawlessly for me for two years, no odor, no mess, very easy to use. If all you can find is the 'Deluxe'.... try out a different brand.

Summary: In some ways better than the original
Comment: I read through the other reviews of this product before buying this. We were a bit hesitant after seeing the other reviews and how negative they were. We've found this diaper champ to in some ways be better than the original version. First, with only one side to place diapers in, it avoids the problem of having a full bag back up into the lid. It is much easier to identify when it is full. Also, it is nice that the base is about the size of a plastic grocery bag. This means that the bags are no longer falling into the base and having diapers land on top of and around it. For folks who use larger bags, the other might be better, but the new design is ideal for using the leftover grocery bags and far far easier to get the bags to stay where they belong. Yes it is shorter, but that hasn't been a problem for me, 5'11", yet.

Summary: This product stinks, literally!
Comment: We got the older one from a friend for free when my baby was born, so we figured we would try it out, even though it was not purported to work very well at keeping odors in. When our baby was having sweet smelling breastmilk poops it worked out just fine. Now she is 9 months old, on formula and solids and the nursery smells like a septic tank. And yes, we change the garbage frequently.
I just ordered and received the Diaper Genie. Some things really ARE worth the money. I didn't have the newer Champ, but I am seeing the reviews are bemoaning the changes as being detrimental, so it appears it is even worse.
